Take photography; you think I'm just out wandering every day and these things just happen in front of me? No, of course it's not. Get your head out of your ass. Sometimes a friend will ask if they can accompany me on a walk and I'll teach them how to use their camera, and of course I'll do that, I love you, and I love it when you buy me a drink, but there's also this whole other aspect to it that you can see the light go out of their eyes when they learn it, and that's patience. That's the sitting around in a good spot and waiting for someone to step into it, or waiting for the light to change in just the right way, and even then it only pays off some of the time.
