Shot in London’s Chinatown on a Fuji GW690 II using Lomography Purple film, this image was transformed by substantial light leaks that spilled across the frame during shooting. What should have been a straightforward street photograph became something far more abstract and atmospheric — layers of magenta, cyan and white washing over the neon storefront and late-night figures below. The massive 6x9 medium format negative still holds remarkable detail beneath the chaos, with the accidental leaks creating a dreamlike, almost cinematic quality that couldn’t be replicated digitally. The result feels somewhere between documentary photography and a damaged memory of the city. A completely unique frame created through chance, film and imperfection.
