I’m Ben, a photographer from Hull, East Yorkshire. I started taking photography seriously in 2020 and have never looked back. Very much still on my “photography journey”, I like to explore all genres and formats, whether that’s landscape, portrait, or night photography.
My real passion is street photography. Inspired by the greats, Vivian Maier, Bruce Gilden, Steve McCurry and Alan Schaller, I love the spontaneity and opportunity that being on the street can bring you as a photographer. You can visit the same spot a dozen times and every occasion will offer up something unique. People are the main driver behind my love of photography. A well taken portrait can often give you a deep insight into someone’s demeanour, thoughts, or feelings, evermore so when taking a street portrait.
Real People, from all backgrounds and walks of life – that’s the beauty of street photography, its a medium to celebrate what makes us different, what makes us special.
